Supplier name: Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd

Publication date: 19th August 2026

Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline Year: 01/04/2026 - 31/03/2027

Additional details relating to baseline emissions calculations

Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd acknowledges the importance of addressing its carbon footprint and is committed to initiating the collection of data for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions as part of a comprehensive Carbon Reduction Plan.

The forthcoming tender opportunity with the NHS has served as a catalyst for this strategic decision. Understanding the significance of sustainability considerations in procurement processes, Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd aims to proactively address its carbon footprint and showcase a commitment to environmental responsibility.

As an SME, Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd has not to date collected or collated carbon emissions data for its organisation. To address this, Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd has engaged Auditel (UK) Limited, one of the UK’s leading providers of Carbon and Procurement services, to produce a full Carbon Footprint Report and Carbon Reduction Plan in accordance with PPN 06/21.

Auditel (UK) Ltd has begun the process of collecting data for the baseline year, to include emissions for Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd’s emissions for its UK operations for all sources included in scope 1, and 2 of the GHG Protocol, and as a minimum the following defined subset of scope 3 emissions:

  • upstream transportation and distribution
  • waste generated in operations
  • business travel
  • employee commuting
  • downstream transportation and distribution

Once this activity has been completed, a Carbon Footprint Report will be produced and made publicly available on Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd’s website.

Emissions Reductions Targets

Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd plans to conduct a comprehensive assessment of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions as outlined above. Following this analysis, informed near and long term Net Zero science-based targets will be set for the remainder of this financial year and beyond.

This proactive approach not only aligns with environmental stewardship but also positions the company as a responsible and forward-thinking partner, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability in anticipation of the NHS tender. By taking these steps, Alphasonics (UCS) Ltd aims to not only meet the requirements of the upcoming tender but also to contribute meaningfully to environmental sustainability and set a precedent for responsible business practices within the organisation.
