Introducing the Medstar range with its advanced ultrasonic protein removal system.

The Medstar range was developed to ensure 100% removal of protein from surgical equipment and to reduce the number of theatre-borne infections that are becoming more common.

Hundreds of individual cleaning tests have been carried out during the development process of Medstar. We make sure that all our machines comply with the NHS guideline HTM01-01 (2016). This not only stipulates the maximum allowable protein count at 5µg per side, but also sets out a framework for when system validation cycles should take place. Furthermore, the ability to remove bacteria to levels greater than log 5 can potentially be achieved.

All our systems have a full validation cycle for every aspect of the device. This includes the ultrasonics through our unique CVD (Cavitation Validation Device). This hand-held piece of equipment will enable the on-going validation of the ultrasonics. The results can be viewed and saved for ongoing recording.

Medstar systems represent the pinnacle in surgical equipment cleaning. Every function of the Medstar system can be validated, from the incoming mains electricity to the chemical delivery pump, the ultrasonic distribution and all aspects in between. Again, every result can be downloaded and saved to any mass storage device, including directly to a hospital server.

One of the key benefits of using Medstar is that only a small amount of cleaning agent is required, which means no scrubbing is involved in the cleaning process.

It was developed to deliver consistently low levels of residual proteins and bacteria removal. The Medstar Plus is also a bespoke system designed to any size and specification making them an ideal fit for surgical and sterile spaces.
